If you have a Vista or XP computer and want to upgrade to Windows 7 in the future, the questions you should ask yourself now are: Can my computer run Windows 7? Does it have the right hardware? What potential problems will I have with my programs? To answer those questions download, install and run the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor.

The Upgrade Advisor will scan your PC's system, programs and devices. In about 5 minutes, a report will show if your PC meets Windows 7 requirements and if there are any known compatibility issues with your programs and devices. It will also recommend upgrades that will make Windows 7 run better on your computer.
If you want to use the Windows 7 beta (and I don't recommend most people do that), you definitely want to download and run the Upgrade Advisor first.
