A number of you have responded to my question about problems related to Skype and Windows 7. It seems to have struck a nerve, so I wouldn't be surprised if this issue is somewhat widespread.
Well, Skype has responded. Peter Parkes, who lists his job title as "Social Media Communications Lead", has weighed in on the issue. Here's what he wrote on the blog entry:
"Sorry to hear that people have been having problems with Skype on Windows 7 - you can find answers to many common problems on our help site, but please get in touch with our support team directly if you have any questions which aren't answered there. They work 24/7 and aim to reply to the vast majority of people within 12 hours."
That's good to hear, and I'm impressed with Skype for finding out about this problem before I brought it to their attention, and giving links to the support team. In the meantime, keep those Skype problems coming -- it's obvious that the company cares about customer service (full disclosure: I have no relationship, either financial or professional, with Skype. I just like it when companies take customer complaints seriously and respond quickly).
