Yesterday, Microsoft began distributing a set of updates for Windows users, specifically those using the initial release of Internet Explorer 9.
The new update brings Internet Explorer 9 to version 9.01. These updates address several critical vulnerabilities that "could could allow remote code execution if a user visits a malicious, specially crafted Web page using IE," found in the initial release of Internet Explorer 9.
You will also find that the update addresses several non-critical issues pertaining to stability, memory leaks and display issues.
If you are not sure how to download and install the update, follow the instructions on the Windows Update guide that will walk you through the steps necessary to ensure your Windows computer is up to date.
