As Microsoft readies Windows 8 for public consumption some time next year they decided to create an event catered to developers to help give them a preview of the new features in Windows 8.

Microsoft is following the in the footsteps of Google who usually broadcasts their developer sessions each year at Google I/O.
I will be covering the event and the announcements made today regarding Windows 8 so that you can get a glimpse of the new operating system for PCs.
Watch the Keynote and sessions Live on the Microsoft BUILD website. What do you think about Microsoft releasing a new version of Windows? Too soon?

Yes much too soon, just getting Windows on my 3 machines and trying to get used to this OS,now, here we go again with Windows 8,guess this is great for those who have tablets and smart phones.Personally do not like touch screen for my desktops.
I feel it’s a significant step forward in the right direction.I have Windows 7& 8 remix transformation packs installed on my home PC over windows proffesional XP and it all works fine. I don’t know about Windows server systems, though, being without raids at home.I’m hoping to try the w-7 virtual machine ,just to see.
this is another way to try and confuse the public. 1st they said that we the public should have to pay for the internet, I think Microsoft should give this product away..
Will this site ever be updated again?
When microsoft announced the windows 7 i felt astounded when they said it was superior to XP ,ok i got the windows 7 and as of today i am getting used to it.Now comes windows 8 , to soon as i dont feel the need to change but i think there must be available and free updating to those like us in this economy that have to stretch our dollars not being abled to do so many changes in such a short period. thanks
Too soon. I see no significant changes worth upgrading for. It seems that they’ve put all their eggs into the mobile device basket, and nothing ground shaking for the notebook/desktop arena. I believe the final release will be a dismal failure for MS, as far as converts are concerned.
This is the same info for the past few months. Please send new information or don’t send it.
While it sounds exciting – it seems that vendors of other subsequent programs we download (embroidery, arts, etc.) to use within the current systems have finally stabilized to the Windows 7 – 64 bit and here we go again with another change.
