Email Keith Ward, About.com Guide to Windows - Contact About.com Windows Guide Keith Ward

From Keith Ward, Former About.com Guide since 2009

I'm Keith Ward, your About.com Guide to Windows. One of the most important parts of my job here is to listen -- specifically, to listen to you.

I want to hear about your experiences with Windows, whether it's Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7. So I'm happy to have you email me with your questions or concerns. To make that easier, I've answered some common questions that you'll want to read before emailing me. It should save us both some time and trouble.

Please do not hesitate to contact me, however. I'm here to help!

F.A.Q.
I have a Windows problem! Can I email you directly about it?

Sure you can. My workload is such that I may not get back to you immediately (although I'll try), but I can hopefully help you or find someone who can. Remember, though, to be patient: lots of folks have Windows issues, and getting to them all can be difficult. Make your first stop the Windows Forum. You'll find lots of folks who have similar questions, and others who are more than willing to help out.

I found something on your site that's wrong or needs updating. How do I let you know about it?

First, thanks for caring enough to let me know. I want this site to be as accurate and up-to-date as possible. Please do email me about any of these issues. Be sure to include a link to the page or pages in question and let me know exactly what problems you're having, or what needs refreshing.

I just have a comment about something. Can I email you?

Absolutely! It might be several days or longer before I reply, but I do return all (polite) email I receive.

I have a suggestion for an article that I think would benefit your site. Do you allow that?

Definitely. I can't promise that I'll give you an assignment, but you're more than welcome to send any ideas my way.

I'd like to interview you as an expert in your field. Can I do that?

Sure. Please email me with more details, especially your deadline, and I should be able to accomodate your schedule.

I emailed you awhile ago and haven't heard back yet. Should I keep emailing you until I get a response?

Yes! I should usually be able to respond promptly, but things happen, like they do for all of us. Please keep contacting me until I get back to you. It doesn't bother me at all.

I'd like you to review my book or product. How do I go about that?

Email me with details. Do this before sending me anything. Please keep in mind that I do not guarantee that I will review your product. Also keep in mind that I exist to server my readers, not vendors. So if your product rots, I'll be unsparing in my criticism. If it rocks, I'll be happy to let the world know. By all means, though, let me know about it.
