Printers and Faxes
With this option enabled, your Start menu will include a shortcut to a page showing all the printers and faxes installed on your computer. From that page, you can easily add a new printer, send a fax, or change the default printer.
Run command
Enable this option to show the a link to the Run command in the Start menu. The Run command lets you execute programs by typing commands.
Scroll programs
With this option enabled, Windows will display a portion of your programs in the All Programs menu. To see more programs, you must scroll through the list. With the option disabled, Windows will display all your programs as a cascading menu. These two options are shown in the screen shot above.
Search
Enable this option to include a link to the Windows XP search engine.
Set Program Access and Defaults
With this option enabled, Windows will display a link to the Windows component that lets you choose your default Web browser, email program, and more.
System Administrative Tools
You can choose whether Windows should display a link to the System Administrative Tools. These tools are for advanced users only, so the link is not shown by default. If you want to include a link to the System Administrative Tools in your Start menu, you can have the link appear in your All Programs menu or in both your All Programs menu and your Start menu.
