How to read a RSS feed in Windows Live Mail

Windows Live Mail includes an RSS reader

Windows Live Mail connects to the common RSS feed list in Windows Vista, allowing you to read RSS feeds that you subscribed to using Internet Explorer 7. Reading RSS feeds within Live Mail allows you to easily check your favorite Web sites for updates at the same time you check you email.

The screen shot above shows an RSS feed open in Windows Live Mail. The panel on the left allows you to choose which feed you want to read, and the center area displays the headlines from that feed. Clicking on a headline causes Live Mail to display the feed in the panel on the right.

Windows Live Mail has a few options for RSS feeds that aren't included in other RSS readers. If you know a friend or colleague would find a story interesting, you can forward it as an email. Live Mail also has a button that connects to Live Spaces, allowing you to blog about stories you find interesting.
