Windows Media Player 11

Can Windows Media Player 11 Outplay iTunes?

From About.com

Windows Media Player 11 lets you purchase and rent music and other media from online services, including URGE, a new service from MTV. You can play songs and videos on your computer, rip music from CDs, and sync with your portable media player.

While Windows Media Player 11 is far more than a new look for Microsoft's popular player. It's much easier to use, as the interface isn't cluttered and confusing. Windows Media Player 10 and iTunes both use text lists of songs to show your music library, but Windows Media Player 11 uses albumn art in the library, making it easier to use and more pleasant to look at. Windows Media Player 11 makes it easy to enjoy all your digital media, whether music, video, pictures, or recorded TV. It's sure to be a hit with many, but it's success will be limited some since it doesn't support iTunes or iPods.

Windows Media Player 11 is currently in beta testing. It is not a finished product, and there are some bugs, but it's usable and nearly complete.
