Not sure if your Windows 7 PC is fully up to date with all security patches? There's an easy way to find out. It's called Windows Update, and it will tell you what you're missing to keep out the baddies. Here's how to get to it.
- Click on the Start button at the bottom left corner of your desktop (the button with the flag in it).
- Left-click the bottom label that says "All Programs"
- Find the name "Windows Update". You may have to drag down the scroll bar on the right to find it.
That will bring up the Windows Update center, where you can get information on missing important (and less important) updates, and a link to take you to the right Microsoft resources to get your computer up to speed.
