Using Windows keyboard shortcuts is a great way to decrease the time it takes to do tasks on your computer.
- CTRL+A - select all that’s displayed in your open window or on the screen
- CTRL+C - copy what’s highlighted (text, a file, an image)
- CTRL+V – paste what’s highlighted (text, a file, an image)
- CTRL+P – print what is displayed on your screen (in an open program window)
- CTRL+Z – undo the last thing you did (whether that’s a text change, or a file deleted)
- CTRL+Y – re-do the last thing you used the undo function for
- DELETE – remove what’s highlighted
- ALT+TAB - move between your open programs and windows
- ALT+ESC - move through your open programs and windows in the order you opened them
- ESC – cancel or back out of what you are doing
- CTRL+B – to bold whatever text is highlighted
- CTRL while dragging an item – create a copy of the selected item
