Get Pinned in Windows 7

Here's the Windows 7 Taskbar with nothing pinned to it.

"Pinning" is a great way to add shortcuts to your most-often used programs in Windows 7. You can pin items to the Taskbar, at the bottom of the screen, or to the Start menu. That saves a lot of clicks and makes you more efficient.

Once you pin an item, you can also unpin it. In this step-by-step guide, I'll take you through the process of pinning and unpinning Windows 7's "Paint" program. Paint is a built-in image editor.

We'll start by pinning Paint to the Taskbar. The screenshot above shows the Taskbar with no items pinned to it.
