Microsoft Windows is an amazing and bewildering place for people new to it. Regardless of your experience and what you are doing in Windows, the easiest way for learning Windows is to right-click the mouse button and see what shows up.
You can right-click on the Start button, the desktop, a program icon, a line of text in a word processor or email - just about anything. Not only is right-clicking interesting, it can be a big time saver, as many of the items listed in a right-click menu are usually directly related to what you right-click on:
- The Desktop - see options that include creating a new file, arranging the icons or changing how the desktop appears (Properties or Personalize)
- A Program Icon – you can open the program, look at its settings or properties
- A line of text in an email – you have options to copy, change the font and other attributes the effect how the text looks
So right-click your way to learning more about Windows and the things you can do with it.
