When Will Windows 7 RC Stop Working?

The RC will expire on June 1, 2010. Beginning March 1, 2010, PCs will start shutting down every two hours, until it expires on June 1st. Before that happens you should, at a minimum, backup all your data to an external hard drive, CD, DVD or Flash Drive.

What Do I Do After Windows 7 RC Expires?

You will have to buy a retail copy of Windows 7 RTM (the final retail version), wipe you PC clean, install Windows 7 fresh and reinstall all your programs and data. Alternatively, here is more information for those that upgraded from a previous Windows operating system as to whether or not you can uninstall Windows 7 and rollback to a previous version. Most people will, however, have to do a clean install of Windows 7 RTM.
