Elegant. Aero is the new interface for Windows Vista (all versions except Home Basic). It is a beautiful, breathtaking new look and feel. It really is quite an accomplishment by Microsoft. Beyond the visually stunning translucent frames and graphics is an interface that operates quickly and smoothly transitions between applications. It reminds me of high-end operating systems of the past dedicated to professional Desktop Publishing.
Notice how each application rests upon another, yet you can see scattered details of the ones farther back in the display. Also, the screens and colors are deep in hue with an appearance of 3-dimensional perspective.
When you minimize a window, it will smoothly transition into the task bar. Windows Aero supports a wide variety of monitors and dots-per-inch, both desktop and laptops – this assures that you can get the best display possible. It is also configurable to customize it further.
