To switch to the Windows Vista desktop using your mouse, click on the desktop shortcut in the Quick Launch toolbar.
Alternatively, you can press the Windows key and the "D" key simultaneously to switch to the desktop. If you want the Windows Sidebar displayed on the desktop, press Windows and "M".
